THE TALKING CLASSIFIEDS is an audio publication that allows anyone to buy, sell or trade a service or product by telephone, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The service is accessible from any where in the world, using a telephone. The Talking Classifieds is a free, community service made possible by Kids At Home. HOW TO USE THE SYSTEM:

Using a touch-tone telephone, call the system. Please have your pre-assigned access code, extension, or mailbox number handy, as you will be prompted for this information in order to gain access to the service. The system has "easy-to-follow" instructions asking whether you wish to place and ad, change your current ad, or browse through ads, etc. While browsing, you may press any key, at any time, to skip to the next ad. Callers may browse free-of-charge.

HOW TO PLACE AN EFFECTIVE AD:

1. On a sheet of paper, describe the item for sale or service provided. Remember to include the selling price or best offer, with your phone number.
2. Call the system. (Please have a pen and paper handy to record your system-generated mailbox number and password/code).
3. Simply follow the system's easy-to-use instructions to place your ad. If you perform step one, the process should only take two to three minutes.

HOW TO ANSWER AN AD:

After listening to an ad, you may leave a message for the advertiser. All messages that are left in your mailbox will be held for 30 days. Please call in regularly to retrieve any message left for you, or to renew your ad.

HOW TO RETRIEVE YOUR MESSAGES:

Call the system anytime, 365 days and follow the on-line instructions to retrieve your messages. Please have your mailbox number and pass code/word/extension ready, as you will be prompted to key these numbers in.
