STATVET WORKSHOP

A two week workshop for technical and vocational teachers across St Vincent and the Grenadines concluded yesterday.

The workshops were conducted by a team of consultants from Jamaica in conjunction with STABEX 95 Technical and Vocational Educational Training (STATVET).

The teachers were drawn from various schools throughout St Vincent and the Grenadines. There were trained in areas such as Hospitality, Electrical Engineering, Plumbing and Masonry.

Some of the participants expressed their satisfaction with the training sessions. According to a number of the teachers, the training in the new teaching techniques would help them to improve their teaching methods in the classroom; to better assist their children.
