-
Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the
ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners (Prov. 4:14),
nor sits in the seat of the scornful; (Ps. 26:4; Prov. 1:15; Prov. 24:1; Jer. 15:17)
-
But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law
he meditates day and night. (Ps. 119:14, _16,
_35)
-
He shall be like a tree planted by rivers of water, that
brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither
(Jer. 17:8); and whatever he
does shall prosper. (Gen. 39:2; Gen. 39:3; Gen. 39:23; Job 29:19; Prov. 11:28)
-
The ungodly are not so, but are like the chaff which the
wind drives away. (Job 21:18)
-
Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgement,
nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
-
For the Lord knows the way of the righteous, but the way
of the ungodly shall perish. (Job 23:10; Ps. 37:18)
