Deuteronomy 33

Deuteronomy

  1. Now this is the blessing with which Moses the man of God blessed the children of Israel before his death  (Ps. 90)
  2. "The Lord came from Sinai, and dawned on them from Seir,  (Ps. 68:8;   Ps. 68:17;   Deut. 2:1-4)  He shone forth from Mount Paran,  (Num. 10:12)  and He came with ten thousands of saints; from His right hand  (Dan. 7:10)  came a fiery law for them.
  3. Yes, He loves the people; all His saints are in Your hand;  (Hos. 11:1;   1 Sam. 2:9)  they sit down at Your feet; everyone receives Your words.  (Ps. 50:5;   Prov. 2:1;   Luke 10:39)
  4. Moses commanded a law for us, (Ps. 119:111;   John 1:17;   John 7:19) a heritage of the congregation of Jacob.
  5. And He was King in Jeshurun, when the leaders of the people were gathered, all the tribes of Israel together.  (Ex. 15:18;   Deut. 32:15)
  6. "Let Reuben live, and not die,  (Gen. 49:3-4)  nor let his men be few.
  7. And this he said of Judah:  "Hear, Lord, the voice of Judah, and bring him to his people; let his hands be sufficient for him,  (Gen. 49:8)  and may You be a help against his enemies.  (Ps. 146:5)
  8. With the best things of the ancient mountains,  (Gen. 49:26)  with the precious things of the everlasting hills,  (Hab. 3:6)
  9. With the precious things of the earth and its fullness, and the favour of Him who dwelt in the bush.  Let the blessing come on the head of Joseph, and on the crown of the head of him who was separate from his brothers.'  (Gen. 49:26;   Ex. 3:2-4)
  10. His glory is like a firstborn bull,  (1 Chr. 5:1)  and his horns are like the horns of the wild ox; together with them  (Num. 23:22)  he shall push the peoples to the ends of the earth; they are the ten thousands of Ephraim,  (Gen. 48:19;   Ps. 44:5)  and they are the thousands of Manasseh."
  11. And of Zebulun he said:  "Rejoice, Zebulun, in your going out,  (Gen. 49:13-15)  and Issachar is your tents!
  12. They shall call the peoples to the mountain; there they shall offer sacrifices of righteousness; for they shall partake of the abundance of the seas and of treasures hidden in the sand."  (Ps. 4:5;   Ps. 51:19;   Is. 2:3)
  13. Your sandals shall be iron and bronze; as your days, so shall your strength be.  (Deut. 8:9)
  14. "There is no one like the God of Jeshurun,  (Deut. 32:15)  who rides the heavens to help you, and in His excellency on the clouds.  (Ps. 68:4;   Ps. 68:33-34;   Ps. 104:3)
  15. The eternal God is your refuge,  (Ps. 90:1;   Ps. 91:2;   Ps. 91:9)  and underneath are the everlasting arms; He will thrust out the enemy from before you,  (Deut. 9:3-5)  and will say, 'Destroy!'  (Ps. 55:19)
  16. Then Israel shall dwell in safety,  (Jer. 23:6;   Jer. 33:16)  the fountain of Jacob alone, in a land of grain and new wine;  (Num. 23:9;   Deut. 8:7-8)  His heavens shall also drop dew.  (Gen. 27:28;   Ps. 68:26)
  17. Happy are you, O Israel!  Who is like you, a people saved by the Lord, the shield of your help and the sword of your majesty!  (2 Sam. 7:23;   Ps. 115:9)  Your enemies shall submit to you,  (Ps. 18:32;   Ps. 18:44;   Ps. 66:3)  and you shall tread down their high places."  (Num. 33:52)
