Proverbs 12
- Whoever loves instruction loves
knowledge,
but he who hates reproof is stupid.
- A good man obtains favour from the
Lord,
but a man of wicked devices he will condemn. (Prov.
23:7)
- A man is not established by
wickedness,
but the root of the righteous cannot be moved. (Prov.
10:25)
- An excellent wife is the crown of
her
husband,
but she who causes shame is like rottenness in his bones.

- The thought of the righteous are
right,
but the counsels of the wicked are deceitful.
- The words of the wicked are, "Lie
in
wait for blood,"
but the mouth of the upright will deliver them. (Prov.

- The wicked are overthrown and are
no
more, (Matt.
7:24-27)
but the house of the righteous will stand.
- A man will be commended according
to
his wisdom,
but he who is of a perverse heart will be despised. (Ps. 59:7)
- Better is the one who is slighted
but
has a servant,
than he who honours himself but lacks bread. (Prov.
13:7)
- A righteous man regards the life
of
his animal,
(Deut. 25:4)
but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel.
- Wealth gained by dishonesty will
be
diminished,
but he who gathers by labour will increase. (Prov.
10:2; Prov. 13:19;

- Hope deferred makes the heart
sick,
but when the desire comes, it is a tree of life.

- The wicked is ensnared by the
transgression of his lips
(Prov. 18:7),
but the righteous
will come through trouble. (2

- A man will be satisfied with good
by
the fruit of his
mouth (Prov. 13:2; Prov.

and the recompense of a man's hands will be rendered to
him.

- The way of a fool is right in his
own eyes, but he who heeds counsel is wise.

- A fool's wrath is known at once,
but a
prudent man covers

righteousness, but a false

- There is one who speaks like the
piercings of a sword,
but the tongue of the wise promotes health. (Ps. 57:4; James 3:5)
- The truthful lip shall be
established
forever, but a lying
tongue is but for a moment. (Prov.
19:9)
- Deceit is in the heart of those
who
devise evil, but counsellors
of peace have joy.
- No grave trouble will overtake the
righteous, but the
wicked shall be filled with evil. (1

- Lying lips are an abomination to
the
Lord, but those who
deal truthfully are His delight.
- A prudent man conceals knowledge (Prov.
13:16),
but the heart of fools proclaims foolishness. (Prov.
15:2)
- The hand of the diligent will
rule,
but the slothful will
be put to forced labour. (Prov.
10:4)
- Anxiety in the heart of man causes
depression, (Prov.
15:13)
but a good word makes it glad. (Is.
50:4)
- The righteous should choose his
friends carefully, for
the way of the wicked leads them astray.
- The slothful man does not roast
what
he took in hunting,
but diligence is a man's precious possession.
- In the way of righteousness is
life,
and in its pathway
there is no death. (Prov. 11:19)
