Mark 14

-
- And being in Bethany at the house of Simon the
leper, as He sat at the table, a woman came having an alabaster flask of
very costly oil of spikenard. And she broke the flask and poured it
on His head. (Luke 7:37; John
12:2)
-
-
-
- "For you have the poor with you always, and
whenever you wish you may do them good; but Me you do not have always.
(John 12:8)
- "She has done what she could. She has
come beforehand to anoint My body for burial.
- "Assuredly, I say to you, whenever this gospel
is preached throughout the whole world, what this woman did will also be
spoken of as a memorial to her."

- And when they had sung a hymn, they went out
to the Mount of Olives. (Matt
26:30; John 18:1)
- Then Jesus said to them, "All of you will be
made to stumble because of Me this night, for it is written: (Matt. 26:31-35) 'I will strike the
Shepherd, And the sheep will be scattered.' (Zech. 13:7)
- "But after I have been raised, I will go before
you to Galilee." (Mark 16:7)
- But Peter said to Him, "Even if all are made
to stumble, yet I will not be." (John
13:37&38)
- And Jesus said to him, "Assuredly, I say to
you that today, even this night, before the rooster crows twice, you will
deny Me three times." (Mark 14:72)
- But he spoke more vehemently, "If I have to
die with You, I will not deny You!" And they all said likewise.
- Then they came to a place which was named Gethsemane;
and He said to His disciples, "Sit here while I pray." (Luke 22:40-46; John 18:1)
- And He took Peter, James, and John with Him,
and He began to be troubled and deeply distressed. (Mark 5:37;
Mark 9:2; Mark 13:3)
- Then He said to them, "My soul is exceedingly
sorrowful, even to death. Stay here and watch." (John 12:27)

- Now a certain young man followed Him, having
a linen cloth thrown around his naked body. And a young man laid
hold of him,
- and he left the linen cloth and fled from them
naked.
- And they led Jesus away to the high priest;
and with him were assembled all the chief priests, the elders, and the scribes.
(Matt. 26:57-68;
Mark 15:1; John 7:32)
- But Peter followed Him at a distance, right
into the courtyard of the high priest. And he sat with the servants
and warmed himself at the fire. (John
18:15)
- And the chief priest and all the council sought
testimony against Jesus to put Him to death, and found none. (Matt. 26:59)
- For many bore false witness against Him, but
their testimonies did not agree.
- And some rose up and bore false witness against
Him, saying, (Ps. 27:12;
Ps. 35:11)
- "We heard Him saying, 'I will destroy this
temple that is made with hands, and within three days I will build another
made without hands.'" (John 2:19)
-
-
-
-
-
-
- Then some began to spit on Him, and to blindfold
Him, and to beat Him, and to say to Him, "Prophesy!" And the officers
struck Him with the palms of their hands. (Is. 50:6; Is. 52:14;
Matt. 26:68)

-
- And a second time the rooster crowed. And
Peter called to mind the words that Jesus had said to him, "Before the rooster
crows twice, you will deny Me three times." And when he thought about
it, he wept. (Matt. 26:75;
Mark 14:30)
