I Samuel 9
- There was a man of Benjamin whose name was Kish the son of Abiel, the son of Zeror, the son of Bechorath, the son of Aphiah, a Benjamite, a mighty man of power. (1 Chr. 8:33; 1 Chr. 9:36-39)
- And he had a son whose name was Saul, a choice and handsome young man. There was not a more handsome person than he among the children of Israel. From his shoulders up-ward he was taller than any of the people. (1 Sam. 10:23)
-
- So the king said to him, "Where is He?" And Ziba
said to the king, "Indeed he is in the house of Machir the son of Ammiel,
in Lo Debar." (2 Sam. 17:27-29; John
3:23)

And Saul answered and said, “An I not a Benjamite,
of the smallest of the tribes of Israel,
and my family the least of all the families of the tribe of Benjamin? Why then do you speak like this to me?” (Judg. 20:46-48; 1 Sam. 15:17; Ps. 68:27)
