Chapter 13

  1. Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities.  For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God.  (Prov. 3:15;   John 19:11;   1 Pet. 2:13)
  2. And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed.  (1 Cor. 15:34;   Heb 10:25)
  3. The night is far spent, the day is at hand.  Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.
  4. Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in licentiousness and lewdness, not in strife and envy.  (Prov. 23:20;   Phil. 4:8;   James 3:14)
  5. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfil its lusts.    ( PASS ON TO A FRIEND)
