-
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God,
that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God,
which is your reasonable service.
-
And do not be confirmed to this world, but be transformed
by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and
acceptable and perfect will of God.
(1 Pet. 1:14; Eph. 5:10; Eph. 5:17; 1 John 2:15; Eph. 4:23&24; Col. 3:10)
-
For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who
is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think,
but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.
(Gal. 2:9; Prov.
25:27)
-
For as we have many members in one body, but all the members
do not have the same function,
(1
Cor. 12:12 - 14)
-
so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually
members of one another.
(1 Cor. 6:15; 1 Cor. 12:27; Eph.
4:4; Eph. 4:25)
-
Having then gifts differing according to the grace that
is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in
proportion to our faith; (Acts 11:27; 1 Cor. 12:10&11)
-
or ministry, let us use it in our ministering; he who teaches,
in teaching; (Eph. 4:11)
-
he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberty;
he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.
(Matt. 6:2; Acts 15:32; 2
Cor. 9:7)
-
Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling
to what is good.
(Ps.
34:14; John 15:12; 1 Tim. 1:5; James 3:17)
-
Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love,
in honour giving preference to one another;
(Heb. 13:1; Phil. 2:3; John 13:14; 1 Pet. 3:8)
-
not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the
Lord; (Prov. 20:13;
Prov. 31:15)
-
rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing
steadfastly in prayer;
(Luke 18:1; Phil.
4:4) *!*
-
distributing to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality.
-
Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.
-
Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who
weep. (Job. 2:11; Job. 30:25; Ps. 35:27; 1 Cor. 12:26)
-
Be of the same mind toward one another. Do not set
your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Do not be
wise in your own opinion. (Prov. 3:7; Phil. 2:2) *!*
-
Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good
things in the sight of all men.
-
If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably
with all men.
(Prov.
3:30; Heb. 12:14; 1
Pet. 3:11)
-
Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place
to wrath; for it is written,
"Vengeance is Mine, I will repay," says the Lord.
(Lev. 19:18;
Deut. 32:35; Ps. 10:14)
-
"Therefore, if your enemy hungers,
feed him;
If he thirsts, give him a drink; (Ex. 23:4; Prov. 25:21&22)
For in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head." (Matt. 5:44)
-
Do not be overcome by evil, but
overcome evil with good.
