- Come down and sit in the
dust,
(Is. 3:26; Jer. 48:18) o virgin daughter of
Babylon; sit on the ground without a throne, (Jer.
25:12; Jer. 50:1 - Jer 51:64) o daughter of the
Chaldeans! For you shall no more be called tender and delicate.
- Take the millstones and grind
meal. Remove your veil, take off the skirt, uncover the thigh,
pass through the rivers. (Ex. 11:5)
- Your nakedness shall be uncovered,
yes,
your shame will be seen; I will take vengeance, and I will not
arbitrate with a man." (Is. 3:17; Is.
20:4; Rom. 12:19)
- As for our Redeemer, the Lord of
Hosts
is His name, The Holy One of Israel. (Ps. 18:14; Ps. 19:14; Jer. 10:16)
- "Sit in silence, and go into
darkness,
o daughter of the Chaldeans; for you shall no longer be called (1
Sam. 2:9; Dan. 2:37) the Lady of Kingdoms.
