Luke 7

  1. Then fear came upon all, and they glorified God, saying, "A great prophet has risen up among us;" and "God has visited His people."  (John 4:19;   John 7:12)
  2. But the Pharisees and lawyers rejected the counsel of God for themselves, not having been baptized by him.  (Prov 1:25)
  3. Now when the Pharisee who had invited Him saw this, he spoke to himself, saying, "This man, if He were a prophet, would know who and what manner of woman this is who is touching Him, for she is a sinner."  (Luke 15:2;   John 4:19)
