A Psalm of David.
- Vindicate
me, O Lord, for I have
walked in my integrity. (2
Kin. 20:3; Ps. 7:8)
I have also trusted in the Lord; I shall not slip. (Ps. 13:5; Ps. 28:7; Ps. 43:1)
- Examine me, O Lord, and prove
me; (Ps. 17:3; Ps. 139:23) try my mind and
my heart.
- For Your lovingkindness is before
my eyes, and I have walked in Your truth. (2 Kin. 20:3; Ps. 48:9)
- I have not sat with idolatrous
mortals, nor will I go in with hypocrites. (Ps. 1:1)
- I have hated the congregation of
evildoers; and will not sit with the wicked. (Ps. 31:6; Ps. 139:21)
- I will wash my hands in innocence;
so I will go about Your altar, O Lord,
- That I may proclaim with the voice
of thanksgiving, and tell of all Your wondrous works.
- Lord, I have loved the habitation
of Your house, and the place where Your glory dwells. (Ps. 27:4; Ps. 84:1-4; Ps. 84:10)
- Do not gather my soul together with
sinners, nor my life with bloodthirsty men, (Ps. 28:3)
- In whose hands is a sinister
scheme, and whose right hand is full of bribes. (1 Sam. 8:3)
- But as for me, I will walk in my
integrity; redeem me and be merciful to me.
- My foot stands in an even place;
in the congregation I will bless the Lord. (Ps. 40:2)
