A Testimony of Asaph. A Psalm.
- Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, You
who lead Joseph like a flock; (Ps. 77:20) You who dwell
between the cherubim, shine forth! (Ps. 18:10; Ps. 50:2)
- Before Ephraim, Benjamin, and
Manasseh, (Ps. 78:9; Ps. 78:67) stir up Your
strength, and come and save us!
- Restore us, O God; (Lam.
5:21) cause Your face to shine, and we shall be saved! (Ps. 31:16)
- O Lord God of hosts, how long will
You be angry against the prayer of Your people? (Ps. 79:5)
- You have fed them with the bread of
tears, (Is. 30:20) and given them tears to drink in great
measure. (Ps. 42:3)
- You have made us a strife to our
neighbours, and our enemies laugh among themselves.
