  1. Bless the Lord, O my soul!
    1. O Lord my God, You are very great:
You are clothed with honour and majesty,  (Job 40:10)
    1. Who cover Yourself with light as with a garment,
Who stretch out the heavens like a curtain.  (Job 26:7;   Job 37:18)
    1. He lays the beams of His upper chambers in the waters,
Who makes the clouds His chariot,
Who walks on the wings of the wind,  (Job 9:8;   Ps. 18:10;   Is. 19:1;   Amos 9:6)
  2. Who makes His angels spirits, His ministers a flame of fire.  (Heb. 1:7)
  3. You who laid the foundations of the earth, so that it should not be moved forever,  (Job 38:4)
  4. You covered it with the deep as with a garment; the waters stood above the mountains.  (Gen. 1:6)
  5. At Your rebuke they fled; at the voice of Your thunder they hastened away.
  6. They went up over the mountains; they went down into the valleys, to the place which You founded for them.
  7. You have set a boundary that they may not pass over,  (Jer. 5:22)  that they may not return to cover the earth.
  8. He sends the springs into the valleys, which flow among the hills.
  9. They give drink to every beast of the field; the wild donkeys quench their thirst.
  10. By them the birds of the heavens have their habitation; they sing among the branches.
  11. He waters the hills from His upper chambers;  (Ps. 147:8)  the earth is satisfied with the fruit of Your works.  (Job 38:27)
  12. He causes the grass to grow for the cattle,  (Gen. 1:29)  and vegetation for the service of man, that he may bring forth food from the earth,  (Job 40:20;   Prov. 27:25)
  13. A wine that makes glad the heart of man,  (Judges 9:13)  oil to make his face shine, and bread which strengthens man's heart.  (Ps. 23:5;   Prov. 31:6)
  14. The trees of the Lord are full of sap, the cedars of Lebanon which He planted,
  15. Where the birds make their nests; the stork has her home in the fir trees.
  16. The high hills are for the wild goats; the cliffs are a refuge for the rock badgers.  (Lev. 11:5;   Job 39:1;   Prov. 30:26)
  17. He appointed the moon for seasons; the sun knows its going down.  (Gen. 1:14;   Ps. 19:6)
  18. You make darkness, and it is night,  (Is. 45:7)  in which all the beasts of the forest creep about.
  19. The young lions roar after their prey, and seek their food from God.  (Job 38:39;   Ps. 145:16)
  20. O Lord, how manifold are Your works!  In wisdom You have made them all.  (Prov. 3:19)
  21. These all wait for You, that You may give them their food in due season.  (Ps. 136:25)
  22. What You give them they gather in; You open Your hand, they are filled with good.
  23. You hide Your face, they are troubled; You take away their breath, they die and return to their dust.  (Job 34:14)
  24. He looks on the earth, and it trembles; He touches the hills, and they smoke.  (Ps. 144:5;   Hab. 3:10)
  25. May my meditation be sweet to Him;  (Ps. 19:14)  I will be glad in the Lord.  (Ps. 9:2)
  26. May sinners be consumed from the earth,  (Ps. 37:38)  and the wicked be no more.
Bless the Lord, O my soul!
    Praise the Lord!  (Job 38:13)
