To the Chief Musician. To
Jeduthum. A Psalm
of David
- Truly my soul silently waits for God
(Ps.
33:20); from Him comes my salvation.
- He only is my rock and my
salvation; He
is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved. (Ps. 55:22)
- How long will you attack a
man? You shall be slain, all of you, like a leaning wall and a
tottering fence. (Is. 30:13)
- They only consult to cast him down
from his high position; they delight in lies; they bless with their
mouth, (Ps. 28:3) but
they curse inwardly.
-
-
- In God is my salvation and my
glory;
(Jer. 3:23) the rock of my strength, and my refuge; is in God. (Ps. 27:1)
- Trust in Him at all times, you
people; pour out your heart before Him; (1 Sam. 11:15) God
is a refuge for us. (Ps. 4:5;
Ps. 46:1) Selah
- Surely men of low degree are a
vapour, (Is. 40:17)
men of high degree are a lie; if they
are weighed in the balances, they are altogether lighter than
vapour. (PASS
ON TO A FRIEND)
- Do not trust in oppression, nor
vainly hope in robbery, if riches increase, do not set your heat on
them. (Job 31:25; Luke
12:15)
- God has spoken once, twice I have
heard this: that power belongs to God. (Job 33:14)
- Also to You, O Lord, belongs
mercy; for
you render to each one according to his work. (Job 34:11; Prov. 24:12; Matt.
16:27)
